A "Good Grief" ExperienceCharlie Brown's Kids is a kids' support group that's all about good grief. Here group leaders and supportive volunteers help children express the sadness, guilt, fear and anger that are natural reactions to the death of a parent. They also guide the children toward acceptance of the death, helping them capture and preserve memories of their parents through discussion, art, writing and storytelling.Nobody's alone at Charlie Brown's Kids.Every one of Charlie Brown's Kids knows what it's like to have a parent die. It's the one thing they all have in common. At Charlie Brown's, kids can share their feelings with one another in a way they can't share them with their surviving parent, teachers, or other adult relatives or friends...in a way they can't even share them with their own friends who have not experienced the same kind of loss. |
